Although the General Dental Council (GDC) do not themselves quality assure CPD, there are quality control aspects stated by the GDC that a provider of CPD must adhere to.

Such requirements can be found via the GDC Provider Guidance Document.

Documentary Evidence That the CPD Has Been Undertaken

Upon completion of CPD from Agilio iLearn, a certificate is issued which states the name of the CPD taker along with their GDC number (if applicable).

Agilio iLearn online CPD requires user registration before any training course is taken, and a certificate provided upon successful completion. Certificates are linked directly to the password protected user account.

Agilio iLearn CPD requires the delegate to complete feedback before a certificate is provided.

Agilio iLearn CPD is peer reviewed prior to release by industry experts. All content is reviewed internally every twelve months from release date, or upon the introduction of new information, guidance or standards which may affect the content.

Agilio iLearn CPD uses the feedback forms of course takers to monitor, evaluate and improve content delivery.

It is Agilio iLearn’s policy that all CPD content is written in a non-commercial manner.

Where verifiable CPD content regarding products or services is unavoidable in order to provide the course (such as a decontamination validation test), the procedure for writing the content is to present the application information but stress that there are different product methods where applicable.

 

Appropriate Recruitment and Selection of those Delivering CPD

Agilio iLearn have a documented procedure in place that details the recruitment and training process.

This procedure provides a sound framework for the recruitment and selection of staff, which also meets the requirements of the Equality Act 2010, other relevant employment legislation and best practice.

Employees are suitably qualified and/or experienced in the job for which they are employed. Ongoing competence is monitored through a variety of methods, such as appraisals, the monitoring of day-to-day activities, and reviews of results.

All Agilio iLearn CPD provides a list of learning outcomes which is presented prior to the course being taken. The requirements of these learning outcomes are then included within both the course content and examination questions.

The course taker is then required to complete a feedback form which asks the delegate if the learning outcomes have been met. The learning outcomes are then also presented on the verifiable CPD certificate.

All Agilio iLearn CPD offers the opportunity for the participant to reflect on the CPD being provided.

Agilio iLearn online CPD is not time based which ensures that the user is able to take the course within their own time and learn at their own pace. Users are provided with the ability to state their reflective learning at the end of each course, which is then recorded and logged on the back on the CPD certificate for future reference.

Responsibility

The Managing Director has overall responsibility for dealing with all complaints made.

 

How we handle complaints

We will acknowledge a complaint within 5 working days.

We aim to have all complaints investigated within 14 working days unless we agree a different time scale with you.

When we have finished investigating, we will write to you with:

  • details of the findings;
  • any action we have taken; and
  • our proposals to resolve your complaint.

 

Further steps

Once we have dealt with your complaint, if you are not happy with the outcome please write to the Managing Director, Elm Tree House, Bodmin Street, Holsworthy, EX22 6BB, who will decide on further steps to resolve the situation.
