“Introduction to Team Leading Skills for Dental Nurses” Workshop:
The role of the Lead nurse is now well established in general dental practices throughout the UK. However, it is not an easy step to take from being one of the team to taking a supervisory role.
For this reason, following numerous series of Lead Dental Nurse training programmes delivered for Health Education England, we shall be opening the introductory training workshop to the general public, starting in Birmingham and London.
- Birmingham 01.02.2019
- London 01.03.2019
This workshop offers opportunities for senior dental nurses to develop a range of skills and knowledge to build their confidence by knowing how to use ‘best practice’ techniques for leading and developing teams of dental nurses.
This workshop is designed to be a springboard to dental nurses to secure the skills and knowledge they need to become more effective in their job.
This programme covers:

Following the workshop participants will be able to:
- Recognise the role and duties of Lead nurses
- Understand what employers need from the Lead nurse role
- Recognise effective ways to enable dental nurses to work to their best ability

As a result of this workshop, participants will learn about themselves as leaders and supervisors, so that they can excel in their role and release benefits for patients, employers and colleagues.
Participants can complete blended learning activities and a formal assessment following the workshop. The written work and course fee can be carried forward to the Award and/or certificate levels of this programme.
