Course Details:

This course takes an in-depth look at how to manage an anaphylaxis, and conduct good patient care before and after anaphylaxis.

You will be presented with a short presentation followed by an assessment.

If you achieve 80% or more you pass the course, and will receive a printable certificate to place in your CPD folder. If you do not pass, you will have the opportunity to review the content and take the assessment again when you feel confident.

Aims:

The aim of this course is to understand what anaphylaxis is and be able to conduct good patient care before and after anaphylaxis within the dental practice.

Objectives:

Learners will be able to:

  • Recognise the sign and symptoms of anaphylaxis in patients attending for dental treatment
  • Respond immediately to a patient suffering from anaphylaxis
  • Care for the patient in an appropriate way following the practice protocols
