Course Details:

The aim of this course is to understand how to manage asthmatic patients, and conduct good patient care before and after an asthma attack.

You will be presented with a short presentation followed by an assessment. If you achieve 80% or more you pass the course, and will receive a printable certificate to place in your CPD folder. If you do not pass, you will have the opportunity to review the content and take the assessment again when you feel confident.

Aims:

The aim of this course is to understand how to manage asthmatic patients, and conduct good patient care before and after an asthma attack.

Objectives:

Learners will be able to:

  • Recognise the sign and symptoms of asthma attacks in patients attending for dental treatment
  • Respond immediately to a patient suffering from an asthma attack
  • Care for the patient in an appropriate way following all practice protocols
