Course Details:

This course explains the roles and responsibilities of the Duty Holder in regards to water safety within the dental practice.

You will be presented with a short presentation followed by an assessment.

If you achieve 80% or more you pass the course and will receive a printable certificate to place in your CPD folder. If you do not pass, you will have the opportunity to review the content and take the assessment again when you feel confident.

Aims:

The aim of this course is to explain the roles and responsibilities of the Duty Holder with respect to the water safety and hygiene of all water sources and uses within the dental practice. 

All water provision is accountable under the Duty Holder. Each dental practice is different, and a “one size fits all” approach to water hygiene is not appropriate, or compliant.

Objectives:

Learners will be able to: 

  • Define who a Duty Holder is with respect to Legionella legislation
  • Define what a Duty Holder does in relation to water hygiene       
  • Create a suitable water management team
  • Access relevant documents
