Course Details:

This course aims to provide social and environmental values for dental professionals by looking at green environmental and safeguarding issues.

iLearn recommends that you complete the full series of training courses in this subject to ensure you have the required information to support you in this area. 

Once you have completed this course, please move onto Legal & Ethical (Course 5): Ethical Values for Relationships with Colleagues.

You will be presented with a short presentation followed by an assessment.

If you achieve 80% or more, you pass the course and will receive a printable certificate to place in your CPD folder. If you do not pass, you will have the opportunity to review the content and retake the assessment when you feel confident.

Aims:

This course aims to provide social and environmental values for dental professionals by looking at green environmental and safeguarding issues.

Objectives:

  • Examine the social impact of ‘green’ sustainability measures currently in place at your practice
  • Recognise the range of social responsibilities for safeguarding and protecting vulnerable patients 
  • Review guidance and regulations to develop working practices
  • Identify dental ethical values associated with environmental social responsibilities for dental professionals
  • Research how social responsibilities and duty of care are enacted
  • Define ways ethical values can be embedded into working practices, policies and procedures
