Course Details:

Level One Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults is suitable for non- clinical staff. 

This course looks in-depth look at understanding the dental professional’s responsibilities surrounding safeguarding patients. The course provides learners with an understanding of practice protocols and procedures which should be in place.

You will be presented with a short presentation followed by an assessment.

If you achieve 80% or more you pass the course and will receive a printable certificate to place in your CPD folder. If you do not pass, you will have the opportunity to review the content and take the assessment again when you feel confident.

Aims:

This course aims to ensure professionals working in the dental industry understand their professional responsibilities when it comes to safeguarding patients against harm or abuse.

The course will outline some practice protocols and procedures which should be in place for effective safeguarding measures.

  • Understand the role and responsibilities of the dental team
  • Understand the role and responsibilities of the designated safeguarding lead
  • Ensure the dental team know how to raise concerns about safeguarding
