Course Details:

This course aims to provide an understanding of managing seizures in the dental practice, according to advised protocols.

You will be presented with a short presentation followed by an assessment.

If you achieve 80% or more you will pass the course and will receive a printable certificate to place in your CPD folder. If you do not pass, you will have the opportunity to review the content and take the assessment again when you feel confident.

Aims:

This course aims to provide an understanding of managing seizures in the dental practice, ensuring the correct protocols are in place.

Objectives:

  • Recognise the sign and symptoms of a seizure in patients attending for dental treatment.
  • Respond immediately to a patient experiencing a seizure.
  • Care for the patient in an appropriate way following the practice protocols.
  • Conduct good patient care pre and post seizures.
